A Stroll Through My Instagram Feed

My current feed.

My current feed.

3,556. That’s the number of photos I’ve posted at the time of writing this. I don’t know much people personally who has that many photos on instagram. While hanging out with some friends last weekend I was scrolling through my feed to find a picture of some pet rabbits I had a couple years ago to show when it dawned on me how long I’ve had the social media app for. (BTW Instagram should make it easier for you to scroll through you feed. Like they do with your archives.) In scrolling I was immediately thrown in to the depths of nostalgia, so many memories, so many lives lived.

Pet rabbits that spawned into this blog post.

What was interesting to me was that even though my life is so different from many of those photos, the premise of a lot of the images still remain the same. One thing that has clearly been consistent, is my love for photography. However, you could see how my interests and “passions” have evolved over time. How my instagram feed has evolved into different stories and chapters of my life. You can see a time of which ex-girlfriends I was with even though an image of them are no where to be found (or at least not focused on), when I was a visual merchandiser for Coach, when I was really into #OOTD (Outfit of The Day), Food, well that remains consistent, sneakers, and also the back and forth of how I wanted my instagram feed to look and feel.

As a lot of things in my life, my instagram feed is consistently inconsistent. One thing, however, is how evolved my photography has gotten. That is something I am very proud of.
